Not sure where they're only getting 53 lots. My FIL lives right past St. Pat's and said he counted 85 green pole stub outs.

Did Horton buy the whole development? Maybe the other 32 are being bought by someone else.

ETA: The link on page two to the planning commission application says 53 lots. The plat also clearly shows 53 lots. It's possible that at least some of the lots will not be single-family homes.

So tired of these cookie-cutter, vinyl eyesores popping up everywhere that look even shittier after five to 10 years of crappy upkeep

As much as I hate them, I prefer them to condos, duplexes, townhomes and apartments.

Homeownership is preferable to renting under 99% of the circumstances and is usually a path to financial stability, even if it’s a crap DR Horton home.

Right now there are over 500 listings in BR under $500K per Zillow. I check it often and there is never any shortage of homes for sale in BR.

BR average home sale got down to about 7 days on market. That's crazy. There is undoubtedly a housing shortage. Or at least there was in 2021.

Nationally there is an incredible housing shortage. Everyone wants more housing. Just do it over there, where its not by me.

83K a lot. Are they 1 acre or bigger?

1/4 acre lots, in good areas of BR bring $200K+

The majority of the state looks shitty and upkept. You guys worried about some new construction?

Maybe they'll use their Emerald brand since this BR is such a fancy area.

Enquist is developing a neighborhood off highland with 12 lots on 1.6 acres. Last I heard from a guy who lives around there, they are expecting around 650 to 750 per house. The trend now is to cram as many houses as you can into a neighborhood, profit, find the next one street neighborhood to develop.
