I don’t think she meant that if you don’t get vaccinated you will die. I think she meant this mutated virus that is still mutating could be more deadly and you may lose a family member. She did a bad job of explaining her opinion. That’s what I took away from her statement.

The more ridiculous they get with this fear mongering the less I trust them. Doctors as a whole have lost my trust. I’d rather do days of research and interpret my own lab results sometimes. There are a few level headed docs who told me not to worry about the vaccine. I go to see them.

I already had lost respect for many nurses prior to Corona because so many of them are lying, cheating, low class whores, but Doctors are entering the same category of losing their elevated respect.

Have you not heard over the last 17 months that obesity combined with diabetes puts someone at a higher risk for complications of Covid?

I have read and hear from multiple people that the delta variant transmits more between people but the symptoms are not as bad as regular Covid.

And I don’t take her statement as anything but exactly what she said. She is trying to scare people into getting the vaccine which won’t work and she is lying on top of it. You can’t say if you don’t choose the vaccine you choose death with a virus that has over a 99% survivable rate.

Previously having Covid provides protection against the variants in the same way as those that have been vaccinated. As such, we should be combining those previously infected with those that have been vaccinated. Combined, we have to be (ARE) reaching the threshold for herd immunity.

In general, I believe early studies have shown immunity from infection has waned as time has gone by. To what threshold is to be seen still.

The interesting point will be what we see early on with this delta variant. If people who were previously infected, how at risk are they or how often do we see them infected with the delta variant that actually hospitalizes them. And then compare it to those who were vaccinated.

If it's statistically significant, than you could argue that we won't achieve it with just infection alone.

What you said had nothing to do with higher risk. He said he was obese with diabetes and lived. You said he was the exception to the rule. That means you are claiming more people die from Covid than live with those conditions.

That is false, and you provided no proof to support your claim.

Let’s try a fourth time...

What are your thoughts on the following:

No I’m claiming that the death rate from Covid is higher in obese people with diabetes than in non obese people without diabetes.

That is not what saying "you are the exception to the rule" means when someone says he had Covid and didn't die.

I’m also claiming that a person that is obese with diabetes that contracts Covid and does not have severe symptoms is the exception to the rule.

I don't think he's necessarily a Masked Covidian, I just don't think he understands logic and English language structure too well.

So apparently my neighbor is one of the super rare cases. She just got covid for the second time.

No idea if she is vaccinated.

Nurses told her covid is coming around again.

She responded..just like the flu?
