To 30 Degrees Above Average.

quote:

A very mild weather pattern for early-December standards has engulfed a large swath of the Lower 48 states. Temperatures will soar up to 30 degrees above early-December averages through this weekend as the mild air spreads from the western and central states to the East Coast.

For some locations, the low temperatures this week will be as warm or even warmer than the average high for this time of year. In addition, more record highs and record warm low temperatures will likely be set through the weekend. .

To quote thefrickingweather.com:

"It's frickin nice"

Wouldn't be so nice if I'd planned on hunting though. As it is I'm getting ready for a weekend kayak/fishing trip.

What really bothers me here in the Southeast is during November and December if the high is 55 degrees folks are like "can you believe how nice it is in the winter months?" Not knowing that the coldest months for the southeast is and has always been January and February.

How about we just focus on the awesome weekend ahead and not on the shitshow that is the global warming debate.

I don't understand. December here is great compared to the North. So "folks" would not be incorrect in saying that it's nice in the winter months.

As cheap as propane is this year I feel like I am getting ripped off. I want to turn on the heat and burn that propane up.

The coldest time of the year in the eastern half of the US is January-February. Expectations by everyday people think it's supposed to be brutally cold in November and December (partly because of Christmas and partly because winter starts in December). The average high for NYC in December is 44 degrees, while in January it is 39 degrees.
