Cool. White franchisee?

I wouldn’t be surprised if McDonald’s lowered their standards for certain franchisees and locations.

McDonald’s franchises are the holy grail. Minority franchisees are given highly coveted McDonald’s franchises, they make tons of money, but are now pissed because they didn’t make as much as the other franchisees.

It’s like y’all are completely ignoring the cut in half of black franchisees over the past 22 years.

It’s not remotely plausible to you that McDonald’s policy was misguided then?

White franchisee. By the way, McDonald's right down the street was owned by a black franchisee. It sits at the entrance of a mall which is in the most affluent county in middle TN. The black franchisee died, his son now owns it.

, nice.

I simply find it easily plausible that in a rush to diversify their ownership in the 1990s, McDonald’s misled franchisees into poor locations. Doesn’t take much effort to imagine.

You’re saying black people are inherently shitty customers. Can you please take your racist rhetoric off the board? There’s no place in society for people like you.

Gotcha. Well if you were a comptroller, perhaps you underwent they don’t just hand over a franchise to anyone on any corner. Like most large companies in the 1990s, I’m sure they started some “outreach” effort that clearly failed miserably. The numbers prove it.

I can't speak for the whole system... but I doubt this lawsuit goes anywhere. The biggest issue during my time was McD's opening too many stores and franchisees feeling their stores were being cannibalized.

Nice gotcha. The entire thread has implied it, yet no one can bring themselves to admit its plausible McDonalds set three people up to fail.

I hope it’s dismissed too. McDonald’s has enough bad pub lately. I hope it’s all for naught. Last thing we need is for something like this to be true.

Of course they don't...there's a reason they're the most successful franchise story in history.

I'm guessing some bought in high crime areas and wonder why you can't make money when all your employees steal

I think you might be on to something.

It's pretty obvious who the trouble makers are.

Just avoid them.

So how did their AA franchisees get cut in half during a time when every company under the son has made every attempt possible to increase diversity?

I haven’t read The whole thread, I reached my victimization quota around lunch.

Was there not a voluntary contract signed between McDonald’s and the franchisee? Does the franchisee have no say in the location? Once the location is determined, does the franchisee have no say in whether he/she wants to continue?

I agree with you there. I’m just as worn out as the rest of you.

I’m sure it’s voluntary. My is whether the information presented was as optimistic as they surely implied. If you’ve ever listened to business radio stations, the franchise ads are relentless. It’s not like the franchise is the one losing money in a bad locale, it’s the franchisee.

Probably what happened, but wasn't the whole idea to get more black owned businesses? There are mcdonald's in poor areas that are run rt and do business. But that's a tough job,you have to hire rt and hold people to standards.

As an owner you can't just put your name on a line if credit then sit back while other idiots destroy your business.
