Downtown Parking

I am about to move in downtown Baton Rouge and I was wondering how easy or how difficult it is to park on the street instead of getting a parking pass at my apartment complex 440 on third. What are my best options?

I live downtown and I wouldn't do it without a pass. Where are you moving?

what kind of car you drive?
Smart car? - simple
F250? - hard
Also many spots have a two hour limit unless you have a tag. Really if you are willing to walk a little you should always be able to find street parking in the city.

definitely get the pass. My office is downtown so a couple coworkers live down here. I always hear the people that don't have a pass bitching about parking. That is most of the reason why i know they live downtown.

stay out of my lots or I will tow you, but seriously its easy. I never park in my lots I park on the street just bc its faster when Im in and out as much as I am. Your best bet is to make friends with the dt cops. I never get parking tickets, but the cars in front and behind me get them. It is what it is but I have helped them out over the years and made friends and it pays off.
