Because there isn’t much to shite on re: Dallas while there is a lot of issues in the other places you mentioned? DFW is one of the most successful cities in the country (and the world for that matter). The economy is diversified and continues booming. Population continues to grow, education systems are terrific, COL is as reasonable as you will find in any city of scale, transportation system is generally quite good, and crime is relatively low outside of a few pockets (mainly south of downtown). The biggest negative for Dallas is the lack of a waterfront or an interesting typography.

I always thought Dallas was the safe and classy big city in Texas, unlike Houston and San Antonio.
