RESULTS: About 11% of 231 women killed by male intimates had been issued a restraining order. About one-fifth of the female IPH victims who had a restraining order were killed within 2 days of the order being issued; about one-third were killed within a month. Nearly half of those with a restraining order had been protected by multiple orders. Victims killed in a shared residence (versus elsewhere) had lower odds of having a restraining order, whereas victims from rural (versus urban) counties, married (versus dating) victims, and Latino (versus non-Latino) victim-offender dyads had higher odds of having a restraining order. The type of weapon used was not associated with whether the victim had been under the protection of a restraining order.

CONCLUSIONS:

Most female IPH victims did not have a restraining order when they were killed. Further research is needed to determine whether restraining orders protect against IPH and, if they do, on how to increase their utilization.

Conclusion seems to fit my assumptions.

While it's not a fix all, it definitely can help, might have even saved her life if in fact she avoided it for business or employment reasons.

Looking at the Gmaps Photos of that bar there are a bunch of pics. Looks like a fun place.

The one time I was there, it was a cash only place. No debit/credit cards allowed.

He had to of had a silencer. You can't tell me that he went into a hotel room and shot 2 people and himself and nobody recalled hearing gunshots at 4am or 8am.

Just pointing out that a picture of Kenneth Krause, though he looks like an unfortunate bystander, wearing a Gemtech hat that says, "World Class Silencers."

The guy killed himself, I doubt a little restraining order would have made a difference.

And he killed his ex and another man too. Could have killed himself within the confines of his own residence without killing others.

I guess you're just blatantly disregarding research and fact when you make your assumption. As long as you admit that.

Not sure if it's okay to post here, but the family has set up a GoFundMe account to help with costs associated to raising 5 year-old Audrey as well as Amanda's funeral:

This should be a lesson to married men whose wives decide they want titties.

They’ll want to show them to others.
