My 18 year old nephew died from a Fentanyl OD in his dorm bedroom last November. Took what he thought was a Xanax he got from his buddy. Was laying in bed studying and it had so much Fentanyl in it that it killed him immediately. 1st semester in college and had the world ahead of him. Our family is still hurting from this one

That sucks !! I know it won’t help, but I’m sorry that happened.

Im not in Louisiana but I have read a couple of stories on here that mention Vermillion Dr. Is this one of those neighborhoods that have a reputation as being bad?

It's definitely not great, but not the worst area in BR either. The house where the guy got arrested on Keaty Drive is middle class.

I just assume everyone with face tats is in the fenty game. I went to see $uicideboy$ in Atlanta a few weeks back and I was really concerned the entire f-economy was on pause while in that building.

I'm only seeing one name pop up. What happened to the other two with him? Were they let go?

Probably building a case if I had to guess.

That's sad.

Serious question - Did any of the other kids with him die?
You think if it was a bad batch, then we'd be seeing more mass deaths out there.

He was by himself. Just laying in his bed.

Supposedly a pretty big investigation going on with it because we know who he got it from and they've supposedly already interviewed that kid. For months a detective kept telling my sister something big is about to come out but he can't tell her. Just told her to be patient. So it got our hopes up a little bit. He eventually stopped responding and after a few months my sister got him on the phone and he was a giant a-hole and actually admitted that he hadn't done anything and that the case had been reassigned.

My sister ended up telling her story on national fentanyl awareness day and went viral. She has some really good contacts and word spread that the case had been mishandled and word I guess made it's way all the way to the govenor and he started making calls. So hopefully something is being done now but we're still in the dark.

Won't change things but it sure would be nice to see someone face some consequences for their actions. Yea, my nephew shouldn't have taken a Xanax from a buddy, but the person who laced those pills knew they were killing someone when they did it.

death penalty if convicted. That dude is responsible for more deaths than a mass murderer. He should be treated as such.

Agreed, public beheading. Lets put some fear back in these people ruining the community with Fentanyl.

Who are the other two in this operation, and why haven't their names been released?
