Gave up church a couple years ago bc I find it all to be a big money making fakeass charade.

Prosperity preachers and all of their unscriptural nonsense are a blight upon authentic Christianity. All one really has to do is actually crack their bible to see the complete absence of their teachings therein, and yet it pulls them in by the droves.

I know of a smaller more localized church in which the preacher who runs it requires his members to submit a copy of their W2s to make sure they have given their 10%.

One of the members, a single dad with 3 kids couldn't afford his full 10%. I guess he felt guilty, but he had an old truck that he gave to make up for his 10%. The preacher fixed it up and sold it.

When I heard about that, the first thing I thought about was "how does a preacher accept that from a man raising 3 kids on his own, barely makes enough to take care of them? I would think someone who was truly a godly man would have took the truck, fixed it up, sold it and gave the money to the man".

These people are sociopaths. And the thing about it, these sons of bitches, all of that money is tax free.
