I'm here to speculate.

He was up to no good. This makes it OK for me to not care. I will shed no tears for this man or his total POS 3 young children who he was probably buying drugs for.

Am I doin it right?

Definitely the viewpoint of a guy who has never spent any time in New Orleans.

Pizza guys should refuse to deliver to that area.

Haven't read any further....but the guy lived in this area

Would be pretty strange to not deliver there.

So you can jog around your neighborhood at night without any worry? If so, you're naive as frick.

Sorry our existence in New Orleans bothers you so much. Since it does, I vote we all abandon the city and relocate to where you live. Hope you have room in your backyard !

the entire thing

only a handful of comments concerning the conflicting reports and not one was justifying anything

just that it changed the narrative

several?
IDK about that, unless you just hung around with some people connected to bad shite.

I'm not going to say Boston does not have its problems, but these statistics are suspect. First look at the murder numbers in Boston, around fifty people usually less are murdered a year. Violent crime includes a lot of things, but to record violent crime you need to report it and record it. It has come to the point in New Orleans that people don't even report violent crime. And we have seen NOPD does not even record it or investigate it. If you think you are just as safe in Boston as in New Orleans, you are either a liar or ignorant.

my wife actually did have a friend murdered (bywater hipster) and I was held up because I couldn't store a gun at work and I had to walk across rampart at night occasionally if I couldn't find parking

He named 4 a few posts later. 2 were in drug deals, 1 was a domestic issue and 1 was robbed and shot he said. Apparently him having shitty friends is all NOLA's fault.

well said, although I would argue that the majority of NOLA is not a shithole, it mirrors any other large urban area as far as crime goes

That would really suck for him and the rest of his community, and with hurricane season approaching, it's not a completely empty threat.

It definitely could change the narrative. If, and I'm only speculating because I have no idea what happened, it was a drug deal gone bad, then you could understand how a murder took place. That doesn't mean it is acceptable or not a tragedy, just that you can understand why it happened.

I wouldn't have to worry about crime if I lived in Huber Heights, Ohio because I would kill myself
