My offer still stands! OP's sister reminds me of my own little sister. I remember when she was young, bringing home animals of all kinds and letting the crawfish go under our porch so our dad couldn't boil them

There are these kinds of cages on wheels for rabbits if you all end up keeping it. A garage is a good place for it.

Well, I hate to be the spoiler, but nutria are pests and La. spends millions fighting these little shits.
They destroy marshes, river banks, ponds, coasts, etc. They are nothing but destructive and taxpayers are paying for it.
Cool your sister is saving an animal and all, but being a nutria, it would be better if a .22 bullet would be used.
I have killed nutria including babies and sleep well at night knowing I did our parish/state a service.
