Dasuquin and fish oil made a noticeable difference with my dog.

Marked to read thread later. Our 14 YO beagle could use some of this.

Take to vet. There is an infrared treatment that reduces inflammation. My dog was hurting, would help if you touched them, six treatments, $150. Went away and never came back. Might help yours

Get the gummies for your pup. They work and lessen the pain.
Had to find something as well for a 16 yr old yellow lab and it worked quite well for her with no side effects. Headed out of town but will try to remember to bump the thread with a picture or name.

Hate to say, but our 10+ year old border collie had a similar situation. He was put on anti-inflammatory and joint meds; has taken the fish oil for years. Tried the Librela shot - a pain blocker that some dogs respond to very well, but ours did not. Just a week ago, we made the awful decision to let him go - he could no longer stand up by himself, and was starting to get frustrated and anxious about it. It was hard to help him because sometimes it seemed to hurt when we tried. He’d been so strong and active which made it even harder for him and for us. Plus, though he definitely had arthritis, we weren’t sure if something else might be going on, too, none of which were treatable. I hope you have better results - it’s so hard trying to decide what’s best for them.

Four Leaf Rover Hip & Joint (green lipped mussle) helps my dog. She started limping pretty bad and holding up her rear paw when walking. X-rays ruled out anything serious, some minor arthritis and possibly injured playing hard. She’d also seemed to have issues with her shoulders. All seems good now. She is normal now vs not wanting to move much. I added cosequin last week just because and started my xl large breed dog on it as a preventive. Need X-rays to see what it is exactly.

Mine has bad arthritis and takes vetprofen and Gabepentin. It works pretty good, but you have to see a vet to get a prescription for it.

I have a chihuahua / dachshund/ jack russell mix with a long body.
He loves to jump and can get some serious air but stopped a while back, he would squat down and whine.
Vet gave him a dog pain killer called Carprofen which works well.
Mine has arthritis in his hips

Give him glucosamine the last week to try and help. Anyone have any experience with helping cure this ailment?
Yeah, glucosamine long term. There is no fix. Dog is old. Probably has genetic issues due to breeding.
Get dog on something for pain and inflammation.

My 13 yo Golden has spinal arthritis. Vet started with alternating laser and electro acupuncture every week for two months. He is currently going once every three weeks for electro acupuncture. When it’s rainy, I boost with alternating doses of gabapentin and Galliprant.
He was on Carprofen prior, but his liver levels began to elevate and because of his age, the vet didn’t want to take any chances. Switched to Librela injections, which worked for about nine weeks. Vet said some dogs’ immune systems recognize the drug as a threat and attack, hence why the injections stopped working.

Not sure about treatment at this stage, but when you feel like you’re getting toward the end, prednisone can give him an extra few quality-of-life months.

Stop feeding your dog kibble and feed him a dog carnivore diet.

He may need a replacement. I've done it for multiple dogs. If you follow the post-op regimen, mine experienced complete successes.
If that is not something you want to do, you should consider an eastern medicine/holistic vet. I was skeptical, but have seen acupuncture and other remedies work miracles on my pets that western med vets said I should put down - I am talking multiple years of quality life. I was a true non-believer before it worked on mine.

Pricing on those shots completely depends on the dogs weight among other factors.

In addition to the glucosamine and Fish oil:
-- "Red Light" therapy (great for humans as well, look it up)
-- Enzymes
-- Softer bed
-- looping a daily 528 hz healing tone (DNA repair at the cellular level -- works on humans as well, found on YT)
