Doesn't Louisiana have a state-run warehouse stocked with medical supplies?

I thought the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has a warehouse in central Louisiana filled to the brim with what healthcare providers would need in the event of a disaster, natural or otherwise. It seems like I saw something in the news about it before last hurricane season. Maybe Coach O was there saying "We ready!"

I’m sorry but I am listening to cuomo, newsome, and other govs give press briefings and I don’t get how they can say we have enough ppe for the time being, yet we are saturated on social media with nurses claiming they have no gear, no vents, etc

Who is telling the truth?

Remember the nurses wearing trash bags? The hospital released a statement saying nurses aren’t allowed to go onto the floor without proper gear.....aka those nurses were fishing for Instagram and Twitter likes.

Nurses are doing the lord’s work right now, but don’t blindly believe everything they say.

Lousiana politicians would sell the State's last band aid under the table for .75 cents and a shot of whiskey.

So who knows.

Nurses love attention and want to stir up drama, even if it’s fabricated.

How would you suggest preparing? You do realize that ppe has a relative shelf life of a couple years and our last pandemic was over 100yrs ago. You’d probably bitch the state was wasting money had they prepared and kept having to throw this stuff out every few years.

Not all situations is there a person/entity to blame, shite happens and just deal with it the best way possible.

I am not an expert but they could rotate the stock. The central warehouse could supply all the hospitals and offices in the state and as the old stock is used up, new stock is ordered to replenish.

They were also wearing PPE underneath the trash bags in that photo.

Wuuuut? We’ve had scares like this approximately every 10 years. H1N1, Ebola, AIDS, etc.

Yes it's in the same warehouse with the fuel cell carburetor and Bush's hurricane machine.
