I love when girls start talking about unrealistic beauty standards. For a guy to be really attractive he has to go to the gym, eat right to get muscles, have a 6 figure a year job, drive a nice car, and be tall. She had a well paying job when I met her all the way up until our son was 4, then she just abruptly retired without consulting me.

Quit your job without consulting her. Tell her you'll pick back up when she does.
Also get a girlfriend on the side so you can have more confidence while challenging her because you'll know you have options.
