88 Fahrenheit is Wellington's hottest recorded temperature and 30 is the lowest ever.

Not really because it's a small island and ocean temperatures remain way more steady than land does throughout the year.

If by surprised, you mean erotically intrigued, then yes.

That actually sounds like fantastic weather. NZ is supposed to be gorgeous.

No. The southern island is even cooler with harsher winds

In Quito, Ecuador the average high is 70 degrees and the average low is 50 degrees, every day of the year.

Interesting but if you add 10 degrees to each record you've probably got Honolulu.

Visited the south island last year. There are 3 or 4 species of penguin, including the smallest species.. the blue penguin.

The scenery was awesome and it was easy to get around. Tourism is so prevalent it's hard to experience the "real New Zealand" unless you stay on a farm or hike through the bush for a week. All the major towns are chock full of Americans, Aussies, and Chinese. Lots of Americans living there now. The whole south island feels like one big national park.

Funny you, of all people, would know this. I shut down one of your lawyer buddies on here and made him look like an idiot for his lack of penguin knowledge. I didn't think y'all had knowledge of things outside of ripping people off, good on ya.

South Island especially around Dunedin and the Otago peninsula is cold as shite. That's where you see a lot of the penguins.

Just sayin......

You think it's not deep, because you can see through it....
But it's VERY deep in certain parts!

Was on the North Island for 3 weeks this time last year. It's a beautiful place. I'm going back to see the South Island next year.
