This doesn't make you look any better Paige. At what point are you going to grow up and take responsibility for your life?

But it's not garaged at his home. Unless he also owns your home or your apartment is leased in his name or something.

Also, are you making the payments on the car, but he took out the loan? Cause that's also fraud.

I wasn't trying to make myself look better. I was telling rouge he was being a little too presumptuous in claiming that I was committing insurance fraud. I don't care if y'all don't think I should be on my dad's insurance

The guy I bought my car from put it in my dad's name so the taxes would be minimal. I didn't question it. So I'm not just dying to go transfer it to my name and pay all the shite to register it in Texas. And take on an additional bill. My insurance will be outrageous due to my driving record

Your dad does, however. You posted that he told you to get your own insurance and registration. For most people, that would be enough to change it because they care about their dad's feelings and appreciate the help he's provided you all these years.

This is what grown ups do in the grown up world.

Well I actually sent him the paperwork to sign for me to do it and he never returned it to me. So there's not much I can do

God forbid you pick up the phone and remind him. "Hey, dad, know how I'm a pitiful hooker and I'm making your insurance rates higher? Can you sign the forms that make you not have to pay those anymore?"

I'm pretty positive that'd work.

Edit to remove excessively mean stuff. Paige isn't that bad and she helps me make fun of aVa.

So then you pick up the phone and remind him that he needs to sign the papers. Why isn't that obvious to you?

Write her a check for $1K. Tell her this it, full and final offer.

In the memo line, put "full and final payment for accident."

Do not write the check to "cash".

I'm no scientist, but this seems like horrible advice, because you writing that on a check could potentially be used against you as admission of guilt in the accident.

And that second quote seems fairly reasonable. It's expensive as frick to fix cars these days. And she seems like she's trying to help you out by not getting insurance involved, so don't bite off more than you can chew, so to speak.

Melt down again?

Take my car away?

Seriously what the frick are you even talking about?

And I did remind him several times. I think he changed his mind after he got over his initial anger. He likes helping his kids out

Yikes. I edited if it makes you feel better. These threads are fun as frick to troll, though. You're like Lady Darth.

So then you take him the paperwork in person and ASK him to sign it. I can do this all day, but you'll keep coming up with excuse after excuse. Seriously Paige, you need to grow up, this isn't something adults do.

You people are so presumptuous and judgemental, always assuming the worse

None of you pay my bills. None of you are responsible for me. None of you even know me. So I'm done discussing my personal matters and listening to y'all try to tell me how to live my life when you don't know my situation

I thought we discussed weeks ago how this wasn't a good idea to begin with. It just causes you stress.
