If you know the old man, and he'll fix it until the other chick is satisfied, and leave Paige out of it, then I agree, that's the way to go. I would just make sure that if I spent one penny, I'm getting my release signed. If Walton's can get her to sign the full and final release before she leaves with the vehicle, that would work.

The problem Paige has is that if the dirty hippie pursues her in small claims court, the hippie will most likely win. The hippie will be able to easily establish that Paige convinced her to not call the cops and she would handle the damage personally. Then, when she got the estimate, she reneged. At that point, it's possible she'll get popped paying a higher estimate, plus court costs, rentals, and by then, could be some med bills.

Why do they have to replace the bumper for a minor scratch?

Fred, she probably lives in houston. What if she then decides she needs a rental car?

because they are made of fiberglass and sustain interior damage that you cannot see if you stare at them too hard

It's not just a scratch. Your pics show a dented plastic bumper, broken light and scratches along the quarter panel where the light meets it.

Again, you have no basis for being the assertive one in this situation. You hit her, regardless of which Lane she was in, the latter part of which is just your own testimony.

A girl hit me about a month ago. It was only the bumper with no other damage. The part plus one hour of labor at the collision center was $500. The second estimate is reasonable, IMO. Just pay her and run your arse off.

If your adult child has a driver's license and is living in your home, then normally your car insurance company will actually mandate that she is listed on your policy -- whether she is 18, 26 or 46.

She posted that she hit a parked car and he told her to get her own insurance, but she's ignoring him and not doing it.

Congrats on being a stupid judgemental prick as usual
