Does the sunshine ferry run if it’s raining?

Thinking about taking the kids across it on our way to Houston. The little one would love it. We are going Saturday and I don’t want to mention it unless runs during rain(being that the forecast is hit and miss for rain).

Yes. Not in the fog. They are raising the ramps I think tomorrow due to river height.

when the rain comes they run and hide their heads

film the kids from the last car loaded, until the ferry horn blares. It will scare the shite out of them. Possibly you too, so don't shake the camera. Nor hold it vertical.

There is no more sunshine ferry. Are you talking about Plaquemine Ferry?

The Sunshine ferry and Plaquemine ferry are the same thing. White Castle/Carville ferry is no more.
It should be pretty cool for the kids with the river so high. This also means there is very little ramp parking so even on a Saturday the line might be in the road.

Of course not. They don't want it to get wet.
