BLM is a political movement. Some political movements use terrorism to get their point across. Chanting "F the police" and "Pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon" is clearly said to motivate anti police animus and create hate. The chant, "no justice, no peace" as if they are going to create civil unrest. There is no doubt that this vitriol spawned the shootings in Dallas. The Dallas shooters admitted it. Is this only the beginning of a more violent BLM movement?

"Suspect said he was upset because Black Lives Matter"

"Suspect said he was upset about the recent police shootings"

"Suspect said he hated white people"

"Suspect said he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers"

You do realize that theses chants weren't created by BLM, right?

When some people claiming affiliation with #BLM are advocating violence and attacks on police officers I'd say that is a terrorist undertone.

No. I think if you get ANY group of more than fifty people together, you're going to have a few loose screws in the bunch.

The phrase “F**k tha Police” was originally introduced in a gangster rap song by the group N.W.A with the 1988 release of the critically acclaimed album “Straight outta Compton.”...

I don't think the BLM was around back then.

One could make the argument that if the idea is to cause terror, they would not be aiming for civility in the unrest they cause.

I've said a couple of years ago that the movement was hijacked by radicals.

Now it looks like it has inspired a violent attack intentionally targeting white people and the police....at least if the Dallas Police Chief's report is correct.

Terrorism : use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.

I'd say so

I don't think the movement itself has any terrorist undertones, but crazy, hate filled people attach themselves to it to cause terror

BLM is like the lefty, more violent version of the Tea Party.

I'm not insulting the Tea Party, I'm just saying they're both networks of affiliated groups and unaffiliated people. Hence, labeling all of BLM as having terrorist undertones probably isn't fair or accurate.

But I have little doubt there are some violent terroristic folks under the label of BLM, in addition to the crazies like Netta and Deray who probably don't directly involve themselves in violence but arguably encourage it.

It has terrorist overtones, as in, terrorism is the overriding purpose of the group.
