completely agree with your point. the talent around him will be significantly upgraded, but at the same time the level of talent at A&M vs the rest of the SEC is greater than the talent level for the Browns vs the rest of the NFL.

just seems to me that at least his rookie season he would be hiding from any type of bad press and concentrating on working out, working out with teammates, and doing whatever it took to prove himself worthy of that starting spot.

instead it's a weekly, "johnny football partying with _______" thread.

If only Todd Marinovich had a Heisman and lit up the much propagated glory that is the SEC.

Tim Tebow also lit up said propagated glory that is the SEC. what an NFL career he's had.

We can sit here and list plenty of SEC All-Americans who lit up the league, then were busts in the NFL.

I love how all my faggie buddies talk about how morally right and stand up A&M is and they are all about integrity and honor and then manziel came along and they defend him to the death.
welcome to the SEC

I was just saying he's already eclipsed Todd in accomplishment.

Manziel seems calculated, Marinovich was a loose cannon.

Tebow's blow was Jesus.

He still would have been a screw up with a lot of talent. Drugs do that to you.

Oh, and Tim Tebow, his Heisman and his legendary stats say hello.

ETA: dammit someone beat me to it

Think of the shorties.

One day, you might have kids. You won't appreciate coke snorting nerds that can't make it rain.

I honestly believe that Sumlin and A&M would have dismissed his arse if he weren't so amazing on the field.

He's as big a pain in the arse as Ryan Perilloux, he just happens to have way more talent.

I suspect JFF has someone who is in his ear trying to keep him straight but he's an arrogant jackass who doesn't GAF, just like Marinovich.

Tebow's throwing motion looks like a 3rd base coach wheelin a runner around in slow motion.

It was doomed to fail. Plus, he is dumber than Manziel and much much slower (as in less quick/shifty). Manziel is a freak athlete. He's 6'0" and can slam a 10ft basketball goal with authority.

Comparing those two is fricking stupid.

Not saying he's going to succeed, but the kid has a much better chance than Tebow.

I personally think Manziel throws a better ball, but that's just me.

It's not stupid when your responding to a post implying that JFF's Hiesman and stats mean that he will succeed in the NFL.

Context breh.

I don't like pure running QBs, but if he can run the offense like Russell Wilson, I think he can be successful and very dangerous.
