Does it bother you when/if you see VA employees being assholes to Vets?

Sounds like every government employee I've ever dealt with, not sure why you think the VA would be any different.

My wife works in the VA cardiac Cath lab and says if anyone treated a Vet like that they wouldn't be there long.

Of course, I'm sure the folks working on hearts are on a little different pay grade than the fat bitch you encountered

how the VA treats veterans in general is much more disrespectful than any anthem kneeling will ever be.

I went to the VA once (Lakewood, WA). There were elderly men sitting and lying on the dirty tile floor of the waiting room because there weren't enough seats and they'd been waiting so long. Walked out and never went back. Just used my insurance instead. I feel bad for people that have to get care through them.

File a complaint through the VA. With the big arse negative spotlight that’s on them right now and Trump’s new policy that allows federal employees to be fired easier, it will get looked into.

Not really related to your post but sort of dealing with mistreatment of vets.

My dad spent about 6 months in the VA in Shreveport back in the 60s with tuberculosis. By the way his VA pension was about $5 fricking bucks a month.

Anyway, some arse decided they were going up from a nickel to a dime on the pay phone that rolled around from one bed to another.

Some old vet got pissed and called Cong. Joe D. Waggoner. Dad said within two hours Cong. Waggoner, the Public Service Commissioner, and a couple of aides showed up.

Joe D. told the South Central Bell man he needed to get his boss on the phone and tell him to get over there. If not, Joe promised to screw SCB over so bad they'd be out of business in LA.

SCB hot shot showed up and Dad said when Joe D. got through with him a large chunk was missing from his arse and phone calls were back to a nickel.

My wife is a federal employee and says the black people she works with are the absolute
worst employees. If management tries to correct an issue with a black employee they pull the race card and go to their union which no surprise, is majority black.

I use VA frequently and while they hire non medical staff from the same pool as the post office, I've never seen a rude employee. Perhaps, not particularly competent but never rude.

I have seen a lot of A-hole Vets. Loud, don't show up timely or even keep appointments, and are often obnoxious in the waiting areas.
