Does Goodwill still accept CRT TVs as donations?

I've got an old TV that's been sitting in my garage for years. It's big and very heavy and I don't want to make a round trip with it. I guess if they say no, I'll give the guy at the drop-off spot a few dollars to change his mind.

Just replaced our 20 yr old 32" Sony Trinitron CRT with a UHDTV. The Sony weighed 180 lb and still worked. Sat it in front of my property by the road with the remote, headphones (with batteries), and owners manual all tapped to it in a grocery bag along with a sign that said "Still Works". It disappeared within 4 hrs.

Those TVs were so damn heavy.

If stairs were involved the task seemed impossible.

Goodwill is not a charity, it is a profitable business. Salvation Army, St. Vincent's, Food Bank, those are charities.

Not sure you even get a deduction for giving it to Goodwill.

i dunno about good will but otherplaces don't.

Best buy will recycle them for you, and you odn't have to buy a tv there.

Don't waste your time with Goodwill. They aren't helping anyone but the CEO.
