Does every nerve in the body run through your shins?

Last night my wife left the door to the dishwasher open/down. I was at the sink rinsing a plate and didn't notice and turned and walked &right into it. Hit me in the shin about 6" above my ankle on my right leg. I sat on the floor and saw stars. It felt like I broke my fricking leg. I saw stars and the pain would not subside. I was out of breath and sweating. After about 5 minutes on the floor, I was able to hobble to the couch and put some ice on the knot on my shin. Was over a hour until the pain went away and I was able to walk on it.
frick that hurt!
Why does getting hit in the shin hurt so damn much?
Like I told my wife last night, "If you want to disable a man, kick him in the shin, not the balls."

Tell you what douchebag, let me crack you in the shin with a night stick and see if you can take it.

Catching a pinkie toe on a door frame is 1000x worse

Move this to the Soccer Board and see what kind of responses you get.

I don't know if it is worse, but awful nonetheless.

Being they all have on shin guards over there I doubt they could answer the question

while the shin may hurt...nothing is worse than the 2 second delay between a grazing tap to the nads and the sickening pain that follows.

quote:Yeah, I guess getting kicked in the shin is pretty common in soccer. Don't some wear shin guards?

Saw a kid break his Tibia and Fibula while playing soccer.
He hobbled off the field like a man
ETA: His shin guards were cracked in half as well. Those are mainly for little knicks and kicks to be honest.
