I have a younger cousin that has basically bankrupted his family because of addiction and medical bills from a wreck while he was pilled out.
He continually steals from them and lives in a trailer in their backyard since they can't trust him inside the house by himself. The guy could not care less and is a worthless pos. Whenever this part of the family shows up for events I choose not to go.

No, I know of lots of families with no losers, inuding mine. We aren't winning nobels or making Forbes lists but we're almost all happily married to equally successful people, (one engaged) we all have good jobs and a good life.
We do have a bunch of slap dick cousins in Houma that are POS.

What's great is that this thread will be filled with people trying to say that the family member who posts on a sports forum on the internet all day IS NOT the loser in the family

I was going to say no, but we treat losers like the Amish treat losers....we shun them. I haven't seen a LOT of family in a very long time.

Lots of successful folks on here.
I think he means loser in terms of failing at life i.e. legal trouble, substance abuse, stealing from family, etc.

I have a cousin that never finished high school, got into drugs, and has been to prison a few times because of drugs. Pretty safe to say that he is a loser.

This type of behavior by enabling family members never ceases to amaze me. Allowing one bad apple to take down the entire family and ruining it for the ones making an effort.

I have a decent job, a college degree, nice home, married, dog, etc. Never been in trouble or caused much strife to the parents. My brother, on the other hand, caused lots of trouble but has come around in recent years. Oh, did I mention I am gay? It's me.
