Seems the last few times I’ve went the cashier bagged the groceries and I took them to the car myself. I do see some courtesy clerks walking around but it no longer seems to be a priority for them.

I like it when I have a lot so that they take the buggy back though

If they think they will get a tip, they will usually jump on it...you must look like a cheap arse!

They aren't allowed to take tips.
As for the OP, I call on 5 brookshires for work and they all bring groceries to people's cars all day.

I just left one pushing my buggy out and a courtesy clerk was walking in the door, saw me, and said “you got it?” I said sure and he just let me walk on by. Used to they couldn’t do that, they would insist on taking them out.

I drive 10 minutes farther just to shop at Kroger. Brookshire bros just isn't on their level.

What the frick is a Brookshire?

It’s a grocery store chain that had "courtesy clerks" that used to bag your groceries and take them out for you (and brought the buggy back in).
Since they seem to be slacking on that what separates them from the Walmart Neighborhood Markets?

They don’t have racks so you have to take it all the way back inside.
