Does anything ever really happen to the people who set up racial hoaxes?

Doesn't seem you ever read about these people being prosecuted or anything like that. The Iberville School thing had me thinking, if this guy didn't say what they're accusing him of, does anything happen to them? His reputation is already ruined for the most part, but they get off without so much as a slap on the hand.

I'm assuming you meant prosecuted. If anything, they're celebrated, not persecuted.

I mean, they are just trying to start a conversation. PERIOD.
How can you fault someone for making up a story out of whole cloth and trying to ruin people’s lives when they are trying to speak truth to power?
If you try to stop leftists for lying, THIS IS NOT OKAY!

People have been prosecuted for hoaxes. Is that what you are asking? I don't know the facts of the incident you are referring to, but is it a proven or admitted hoax?
Can't prosecute someone unless you can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

They are heroes for shining a spotlight on racism and starting the conversation
