This is a map and some graphics from The Advocate. My immediate reaction is that the killings in the areas you would expect them in is not a SK.
History has shown that most SK's are white. I think this may change as the demographic changes. Someone with a lot more local, inside knowledge than me could tell you more about similarities, groupings and possible relationships of the unsolved ones.

Russia has some of the most prolific. Third world countries are pretty bad with record keeping so we don't really know who may be world leaders.
The guy that was shooting random black folks in BR that was arrested almost a year ago...He is not a SK. He is a spree killer.

he was classmates with a guy who killed an 8 year old boy with a knife.
south america has some bad ones.
