Yes. Diagnosed and prescribed medication. Taking it as prescribed makes me a regular & average person. Not taking it, for me, is constant fog brain, trouble thinking and processing information, poor comprehension, no initiative.
Friends & family can tell when I’m on it or not based on my level of social interaction, energy, and appetite. It kind of sucks to be honest. I’d rather not take it but it’s better if I do.
Same here, that's a pretty good description. I have been off and on meds over the last decade, as I am trying to work through things without, but not having it always makes me realize how clogged my mind is without it. I was diagnosed in the 90's at LSU, during a 3 year study, it was much more than a 6 question test.

I cannot remember stuff sometimes, noatter how important. My brain just doesn't care. You might have tons of brain power, but you can't always control where that power takes you.
The hyper focusing thing is dangerous, because I'll end up on something that is distracting me from other stuff I need to do, and I can't pull myself away.
Sounds like me to a T. Like, if I ever go to buy anything no matter how trivial I will hyper focus on my purchase research every option and become a damned subject matter expert on whatever I'm looking for. I've been reading reviews watching videos and checked out every dang air fryer for sale in Auburn the last 2 days.

Originally I was prescribed Vyvanse, then to Mydayis, then to Adderall XR. Each of those had their annoying side effects, and led me to ‘regular’ adderall. Heart rate and blood pressure and problems, extreme weight loss, affected sleep patterns, etc. Regular adderrall combined with reasonable nutrition and exercise works best for the day to day life.

This is so me.

Some of the greatest thinkers in history would be diagnosed with ADD in today's society. Men like Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson did much more than build a new country. If they were on Adderall, they would have spent all their time focused on digging a hole.
They may have not had adderall, but they probably smoked, drank and did other things. They even probably smoked the devils lettuce.

I was on a Vyvance & absolutely loved it
When my insurance changed I couldn’t afford it anymore so I got dextroamphetamine
I was on it less than a year when I stopped in December, I didn’t like the side effects
Hoping a smaller dose works better or I’ll have to try something else

You can call me whatever you want, as long as I get my meds. They have saved my life.

Off the scale ADD, didn’t take anything until my 40s. Simple truth is about every doctor lawyer, successful businessman I know has ADD. It’s almost an advantage. I was a problem when I was in school but once I actually tried a made straight A’s easily. I am not really sure that the adderall does shite
