I almost included a line predicting this exact retard response. I gave your double digit IQ too much credit when I left it out.

Oh yes because there’s zero evidence of this correct? Pathetic that you’re white knighting for ADD.

People have IQs less of than 50, does that mean you do as well?

Pathetic to be this retarded yet act like you know what you're talking about.

No evidence of what? You being retarded? I submit your entire post history as evidence.

The second the topic popped up on the board, I'm like...wait for it,...wait for it, and then right on time the first response

I guess it's hard for people to understand what they can't actually see.

The “extensive” testing is a battery of questions that can be easily manipulated.

I often have trouble focusing on the task at hand. Strongly agree or strongly disagree?

If the entire US adult population tested for ADD, the majority would be diagnosed because guess what? Sometimes it’s hard to focus and life is hard.

Me

When I had a lot going on at work I couldn’t focus on one thing without stopping, starting something else, going back to what I was doing, starting something new

Meds helped a lot

When you don’t take it you feel like shite for awhile

I quit mine mid-December cold turkey after 10+ years
It’s better now, I work from home & workload is same but less stressful environment

I may get back on it at a lower dosage when I go back to Dr.

Just stop. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The testing is not a fricking questionnaire.

Sure, if the testing was the retardation "do you have ADD" questionnaire you just proposed it was.

Too bad it isn't. It's actually quantitative data on impulsivity, hyperactivity, and attentiveness recorded via a computer testing procedure the doctor can administer. It is incredibly difficult to fake your way through it if you're just in looking for meds.

One of my employees just went through the testing and explained it in great detail. It’s not as complex as you suggest. It’s a box for Dr’s to check as a CYA

I swear some of these idiots here actually believe cancer isn't real because they've never had it

Doctors overprescribe all kinds of meds, but people are going to cherry pick what disorders are real or fake based on which ones they've experienced.

Funny. I just went through the testing last August so I'm probably a better expert on it than the fake employee you just made up.

I went through the screening as a kid. Granted this was the 80's and ADD was just starting to gain recognition(I don't think ADHD was a thing yet), but the screening was over 3 or 4 doctor's visits, and a few different tests, both written and verbal. And it wasn't done at the pediatrician's office. She referred us to a psychiatrist. I was 8 or 9 and would have had no way to know how to manipulate the tests.

What prompted it was my scoring really high on all my tests at school, but bringing home bad grades on my report cards because I couldn't pay attention in class, and couldn't stay on task to complete assignments. Some of that was being a kid with a short attention span, and some of it was just a deficiency in being able to focus.

I do think it's over diagnosed and over prescribed. That fact doesn't mean it's a BS diagnosis.

No fake employees here. Your addiction to meth explains why you’re so defensive. Yes, by calling out ADD I’m suggesting cancer doesn’t exist.

Being defensive implies you have made an actual coherent point at any time during this thread.

I'm just calling you what you are: an unintelligent, most likely boomer, rambling about something about which he knows nothing.

There's extensive testing.

No the majority of the time they go by DSM-5 and its just a series of questions. All they have to answer is like 6/9 in two of the 3 categories and they can be diagnosed
