Torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders and will be months before I can have repaired....pain is mainly trying to sleep at night.

I have tried most all types of treatment....little results.

I’m curious to see the replies, I’ve got some chronic issues with my elbows and I’ve spent a fortune on physical therapy sessions that do nothing

I’ve had dry needling for severe muscle spasms and tendonitis. Worked great.

If I remember correctly, dry needling is the more western medicine form of acupuncture. Acupuncture is more eastern medicine "energy" type treatment.

Dry needling is used exclusively to treat musculoskeletal injuries/pain syndromes. It may offer you some relief esp if combined with micro current.

Just apply for your medical marijuana card. You’re welcome. Easy peazy.

I attended a lecture one time about the subject of alternative Meds. Accuounture has all but died out in China once Western Medicine was introduced. As soon as the Communists National Party took over it was promoted to save money and resources. May have had population control as a motive also. Chiropractic was started by a guy named Palmer and his son after they could not con enough people with magnetic healing. Holistic also had dubious roots. Take it for what it's worth.

I've tried just about every treatment under the sun to treat old injuries to the lower back, shoulder and elbow. Acupuncture and dry needling had virtually no effect for me. Also tried gau sha and while it definitely looked like it did something, it also provided no relief. Kinesio tape provided a small benefit. The level 5 CBD I recently tried also shows some promise; I was using free samples and will be purchasing some. I wish they were still handing out Vicodin like candy because that did the trick and didn't turn me into a junkie.

I dislocated a shoulder and went thru the rehab process. The dry needling really helped the muscles around my shoulder relax when they were tight and tense. I think mentally I was worried about it dislocating again so I was always tense and guarding it. Dry needling helped in that regard but I can’t say it will magically heal the shoulder.

My grandfather was a physician and late in life had severe foot problems due to diabetes. He swore by acupuncture and gave it credit for keeping him mobile into his mid 90s. Regardless of whether there is therapeutical proof if it works, a lot of medicine is mindset. Try it, if it helps great, if it doesn't you can check the box off.

I've heard that accupunture therapy is an effective and safe treatment for patients with FM.

I've had a good result from dry needling recently for some tendonitis. didn't help a chronic back issue that much; acupuncture didn't help much with the back either.

why months for surgery?
