I don't know how many people here were in BR during this time, but I remember how Gainesville was during those murders back around 1990. It was nuts. Police were everywhere, flying around town at all hours of the night. It was crazy.

I was working at the Tigerland Dominos during that era and it truly was a frightening time in the city. One memory that stick out is delivering to Carrie Yoder's neighbor a day or two before she was found dead. Then returning for a delivery the day she was found and seeing the police tape around her place and knowing the killer had been there stalking her just days before. Then finding out Sean Gillis lived down the street from my friend's place...it was a strange time.

I have seen some one off episodes on some crime shows here and there. But does anyone know if there is a specific dedicated documentary that looks into the timeframe that McGillis and Lee were both active in BTR?

Yes there is a two part series on the Baton Rouge serial killers, DT Lee, Sean Vincent Gillis, and Jeffery Lee Guillory

Google “Serial Killer Capital:Baton Rouge”
Most of this series is the real people involved.

I college I read a book by an FBI agent. Can’t recall name. Read many books on serial killer minds, deviant behavior, etc. His last name may have been Restler. Anyhow, he said at any given time most have been watched by a serial killer, but didn’t fit their target. That was chilling. And like you said, there’s a certain number running loose that we don’t know of.

Lee was taken from prison to and died of heart issues at the hospital in Baker. He’d killed one of their nurses. Good job.

The crazy part is that many of us believe there was a 3rd operating and overlapping during the same time period. We all know, that if they could pin all the dead hookers in NBR to these two, they would. I want to say they’ve got one or two that may be attributable to one of them but not all of them.

There was, and I imagine you’ve seen him mentioned in this thread: Jeffery Lee Guilloey.

Not only were there the three in BR, but there was that gay man killing gay dudes in Houma-Thibodaux at about the same time.
