What if they have child with a disability that requires 24/7 care? Just replacing the mother while she works can easily coast more than she would be able to earn unless she happens to be a cardiologist or something similar.

I have some friends with a seriously disabled child. A couple of years ago, after being denied benefits, they considered this course of action. Thankfully, their benefits were restored. I can't imagine how hard it is to deal with this kind of problem. I am grateful every day that I have healthy children and grandchildren.

The system is the problem. This child receives tube feeding formula that costs $1700/month? Only in the great USA, we are making it great aren’t we!!!
