I've been sick over the last few days so I've been monitoring my temp. My "healthy" temp is around 95.3. What does this mean? Do I have ice water running through my veins and can't be bothered, or do I have the AIDS? Thanks

Your thyroid is dead. Or your thermometer is broken.

It's been like that ever since I can remember on many different thermometers. I doubt they were all defective.

Well since the standard number of smart arse responses have been posted, 98.6 was an average temperature of a study of about 140 people in the 19th century. What we now know is there is a wide range for a normal temperature

You do realize that your boyfriend's penis is not actually a thermometer regardless of what he says?

It would seem crazy that every one of us would have the exact same body temperature when healthy.

It just means you have a lower than average temperature. Mine stays around 97.2

98.6 is just an average.

This is highly unlikely unless you normally take your temperature orally immediately after having a cold drink.

Your blood needs changing. Around every 5 years your blood loses its ability to properly do its job, and your temp will slowly begin to decline. Once you get to 92 you only have a couple weeks

Start by finding a good vein, and start draining all your blood out. Once this stage is complete, report back for further instruction.

Answer the question...are you saying there are 10s of thousands of people that have a sustained body temp of 100 or over?

Because, someone in the thread said 98.6 was an "average" which means many lower and many higher..
I'm no doctor, but I'm lead to believe those higher temps would cause other severe issues if sustained at that level

My normal temp is always pretty low too. Not quite that low, though. I’ve just always been that way.
