Why not let him have his natural ears? I'm not a peta fig, but I couldn't take a puppy to a vet and say "cut this or that off of it"

Agree

Disagree, one they reach 1 year or slightly older both males and females should be fixed. We have too many unwanted and dumbass backyard breeders now. Also, as a side this really should apply to many humans as well.

Well you contradicted yourself in one post. Ears no. Balls yes.

If it my ears or balls crop my ears please.

I have no problem with it. But only if you let us cut your ears first.

Anyone with an IQ of 80 or above would understand the difference. I do not have a big issue with ears, it is ultimately the owners decision. However, there are hundreds of studies demonstrating the benefits of sterilization after a dog reaches maturity and is not intended to be bred. This decreases certain cancers, aggression and other issues.

Do you not understand that all the things you enjoy in domestic animals, is the results of years of selective breeding and "culling" by animal breeders. For centuries animals were bred to produce useful "tools" for mans survival. In the middle ages, folks who traveled would strap their purse to a Rottweilers neck to prevent thieves from stealing it.
Its been about thirty years that animals have been treated as a part of the family. Prior to that they were required to earn their keep as hunters, herders, or protection.
If times get tough again they will once again have to earn their keep or die.
See Venezuela. Now have another helping of Soy and Tofurkey.

You stated you agreed with the about not clipping the ears or anything else and in the next sentence said cut their balls off.

If you have no issues with the ears being cut then you would have disagreed with his first comment.

A contradiction no?

and any recommendations for ear cutting around BR?

Before you make a decision, I would highly recommend that you check out Magazine Animal Clinic in New Orleans.

If you decide to get your Dobie’s ears cropped, the difference between Magazine Animal Clinic and a vet here in Baton Rouge is significant. Read the reviews on MAC.

You suck beyond all belief.

Dobermans are made for cropped ears. Men of utility and understanding, like German engineers, get their dobermans ears cropped. Pussys, like TH03, fight against the idea on internet message boards.
