When I was married in the Catholic Church, we had to attend meetings before marriage. One of the speakers was a couple speaking about natural family planning.
They tried to tell us that you can have sex as much as you want, but it was a sin to use a condom, use birth control, and to pull out.
They tried to sell us on using a calendar to predict when the safe time to have sex was based on the woman’s cycle. They told us how happy their life was and how great their 8 children were.

Condoms are the only reliable non-permanent form of birth control that have no potentially harmful side effects, and there are specific medical conditions women can have that would make if in wide for them to use some forms of oral contraceptives.

I've used them a handful of times when she forgot to take the pill. It isn't the norm, though. Also sometimes she'd rather me use one instead of shooting in her hair or something. It's rare.

I had to for a few months when my wife had to get off birth control due to risk of blood clots. It sucked so I quickly scheduled a vasectomy.

Wife isn’t able to take birth control currently for medical reasons. No way are we popping out another kid any time soon. I’ll probably get snipped once we officially decide we’re done.
