Do you tip flight attendants?

Saw a couple of people close by me give the flight attendant a $1 after receiving their complimentary soda and pretzel pack.
I never carry cash on me so always feel like a dick in these scenarios, but with that said, I’ve never thought about tipping here. Is this a new thing or have I always been a curmudgeon?

Never seen this and I fly quite a bit.

Yes.
But I also give them the shaft and balls too.

Are you making reference to tipping after being served a drink?

Tipping is out of control. They have a damn tip jar by the register at my local doughnut shop.

lol no. Just like how I def don't tip car hops at Sonic or anywhere else. Tipping culture in general needs to die. I don't tip.
"But our whole salary depends on tips! If you don't tip, I'm paying for you to eat!"
"If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out!"
Nah. Tipping needs to go. Still waiting for waiters and people with tip jars to show me in the employment contract that they're forced to work those positions.

I tried a few times to give them a $1 after they served me beers or alcohol and they wouldn’t take it.
I love it so much how the tipping debates on here get so many panties in a wad.

Your lazy fat arse sits in the car and someone brings the food out to you. Give the lady a $1. Hopefully you can still make rent for the month without that dollar or two. LOL

I'm putting a tip jar outside my office so that people can tip everytime I do my job

What time does your shift start and do you wear the skates?
How long before they move you to fries?

You can always pick out the posters that still work in the food industry

You sound like a fat Canadian woman

Bitch please. I work in a real job making great money so don’t have to deal with the public.
I think I would sell drugs for a living before I would take a job in the food service world, especially in the south.

Sometimes I tell comely Flight Attendants that I’m the best thing to not ever happen to them.
Is that technically a “tip” or a confession?

I haven't worked in the service industry in almost 20 years and I still tip the people at Sonic a buck or two each time.
It's called being a decent human and not a slimy cheapass

quote:I’m not sure if they’ve changed their position in the last few years, but just a couple of years ago their main Union came out pretty strongly against tipping. I think this is because they’ve spent a lot of effort negotiating wages and benefits, and the last thing they want is Delta saying they are now a “tipped” industry and start paying them $2.15 per hour.

FWIW in all my travels I’ve never noticed someone tipping a stewardess.

Not my fault they work at a Sonic that still doesn't have a drive thru option.

If you truly don't tip at all there is no way attractive women let you go anywhere near their vaginas.
Women don't like men that don't tip. It's something most women look at on a first date....how does he treat the wait staff and does he leave a tip.
