Give me a break. The Poli is too pussy to refrain from banning people who aren't exactly like you, Klark.

In reality?

The old saying, "Don't let any crisis go to waste." is what it boils down to.

At this point, the who, what, when, where, and how doesn't matter. All that matters is the government power grab and the damage, much of it irreversible, it has done.

Most of the lasting impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic will go down as self-inflicted. All that matters now is what we all learn from this.

No.

I can't imagine starting a global pandemic in your own backyard is intentional. If you blamed a Chinese lab for a virus that started in Africa or other parts of Asia, then sure, I could believe it, but the Wuhan lab and origination point just make for great conspiracy fodder.

ETA- to be clear, I'm not suggesting the Chinese government cares about it's people, I'm pointing out the stupidity of "starting" a virus in the same city as one of only two BSL-4 labs in China. It's so obvious that it can't be intentional.

Chinese cooked it
Chinese released it
Chinese spread it

They counted on political idiots to do dumb shite.

I don't think they crafted the frickery that occurred, but they certainly weren't going to complain about it.

Yeah man, there's absolutely no where you can go to drum up talking points to defend cheating and praise communism. It's so unfair!

The virus was being researched at the lab and was probably mutated or altered in some way as part of the research. The labs lax protocols caused the virus to be released unintentionally. There are documented concerns for this lab well before covid hit.

This could be a valid argument if we weren't talking about a Communist nation. For the record, I don't think Covid was intentionally released. I just don't think the chinese government is above doing such a thing.

Don't know and neither does anyone here. It is plausible that the answers to both questions are "Yes."
