Be loyal to who you work for. If you’re employed somewhere, you don’t talk to recruiters and fish around for more money.

And how does a company prove they are loyal to you?

I’ll talk sometimes, it just depends on what their opening pitch is. I’m much more reluctant now that I’m in a job that I’m satisfied with though.

If they open with, “Would you be interested in a job in x location”, I’m not interested. If they want to pitch a remote job, I’ll listen.

Usually I tell them I am in a good spot. Just curious how others handle it. I will be at my job 9 years just feels like I should be making moves

I do. I tell them never hesitate to Holler at me even if I'm content with my job.

They are big in the IT industry. They contact me via LinkedIn all the time.

You can’t ask what range they’re looking for? bullshite.

They never give real specifics and want a call. Honestly I get them not wanting client poached but who, what, where are bug deals and just don't want to have call to find out. Also I am about to get promotion. Still feel like I should do interview every so often.

I deleted my actual info from LinkedIn few years ago then Gary's Goons tried to find me and get me fired.

If you have options even though you are in a good place you should always at a minimum inquire about what other jobs may be out there.

That is stupid advice, loyalty doesn't apply in business. Do what is best for you and your family ,because they will do the same for their company.
