Left lane is a passing lane. If you are not in the process of "passing" get in the right hand lane and let quicker traffic pass.

Here in Louisiana that is the law.

The left lane is used at a slow driving lane by SJW's who don't want to move to the right.

Odds are pretty good that a lot of posters on this board do tailgate. Louisiana is a collection of the worst drivers in the all the first world.

Like I said in the tailgating thread last week, dumb motherfrickers around here tailgate on small two lane highways. Its not just on the interstate. I brake checked a dumb bitch in my neighborhood the other day.

I was driving on the interstate from Dallas to Austin, about mid-way between the two. Three lanes, speed limit either 75 or 70. The traffic was going, in the left 2 lanes about 82. I always allow for a fairly good distance between me and the car in front of me, I don't tailgate. Good grief, if I even let a 2 car length distance between me and the driver ahead of me, someone would whip over in between us. That happened so many times I thought I was going end up back in Dallas. Dang Obama.

This. If you leave one car length, plus six inches, some motherfricker will take that as a license to jump in the gap.

If you are camped out in the left lane and i want to go faster? Absofrickinglutely

If you rear-end the slower driver, guess who gets the ticket for failure to control speed and which one is at fault for insurance purposes?

You.

Doing the exact speed not passing anybody. Just riding the left lane for no reason at all

Gotta mind the gap.

I drive pretty fast, but safe.

If I get a tailgater, when I can't move, I fix 'em reeel good.

Let 'em get real close, foot of the gas for just an instant, at the same moment, hit the e-flasher so it looks like the brake.

They piss themselves and I laugh like a maniac.

No sir. Not allowing that. I won’t let you go 20mph+ over the limit if I am already going 10-12 over myself. I am usually passing traffic on my right. That lane might be going 70 in a 65 and I will be going 75-77. I am using the lane appropriately as I am passing cars on my right. Now, if the lane beside me starts to flow at 80 and keeping pace with me, I will move over to the first opening. But no sir, I am not moving over for you to go 90-95 when I already have us both at a reasonable speed over the limit and going faster than the cars on our right. You can erupt in senseless anger all you want but that just says more about your manic state of mind than anything else. Somebody that blows a gasket because they are being constrained from doing 95mph means they are a reckless, dumb frick with the IQ of a oppsum. Now, if you are simply talking about someone doing the posted limit and getting passed on the right, I agree with you.

Well ...if people pull into my lane with no room between me and them....which happens often. ..I feel no reason to back off. If you put yourself there then I have no sympathy

I would like to meet your type in the cow pasture. You would have to go home and tell your wife that an old man whipped your arse.

We tailgate next to the Cox Auditorium at the top of the hill by the circle every football season. Who tailgates on the road?!
