No. I need to let it finish. I feel like that's its only purpose in life. Sort of like preventing it from busting a nut.

I don't want to cockblock my microwave.

You leave a second on so that someone else has to clear it.

Same. Pisses me off when I look over at the kitchen to check the time on the microwave and it says :01

How hard is it to just press clear or cancel?

I clear it after I take my food out. But I stop it at :01 because that beep drives me crazy. And it beeps 4x.

I used to try and stop it right when it was done. My old microwave, if you timed it just right you could get it to read 0:00. I have tried with the new one and it will start beeping and flashing until you power cycle it.

I usually try to stop the oven timer immediately when it goes off too.

No, I mute my microwave, so no need to hover around it waiting for the :01. I can't stand the beep either

My microwave stops beeping when you open it. So i just open it right as time expires. Sometimes I'll get a split second of a beep. But not enough to bother.

People who don't clear the remaining time off of the microwave deserve what's coming to them in hell

frick that beep, it totally ruins the eating experience. If i don't catch it before the beep, I'll usually throw the food out and go for a walk to calm my nerves.
