I'm not hating on different methods. I'd never considered that people did it differently. It was like walking in & finding him brushing his teeth while doing a headstand, or something. Just unexpected.

I did a study on this a few years ago and found that it was a 50-50 split. People either raised up north or had parents from there tend to wipe standing up. More girls stand than guys I found too. When my best friend told me he stood up to wipe I made it a point to introduce him that way. "Hey this is Dave. He stands to wipe". Eventually he saw the looks people gave him and tried the sit method and has been a sitter ever since.
I found out that my brother goes in through the front to wipe and I don't get it. We were raised the same. How did he learn that and I didn't? And how has he not tried to go from the side and realized he was being weird all those years.
