I run mine 24 hours a day when i need to. frick the neighbors. if the generator runs long enough, they will stop paying attention to it before too long.

Smart man, little air cooled gas engines aren't constant duty, they'll fail pretty early on in their life running 24/7.

You're dumb

I've been using the same Onan gas generator every year since we got it for Hurricane Andrew....got us through many of hurricanes and weekends at the camp.

This generator is probably older than you

It’s not going to get any hotter running it for hours than it will in say the first 30 min. Change the oil every couple day and rock on.

Run that motherfricker 100 hours straight if you have to. At 100 hours change oil then repeat

Run it as much as you want. If the neighbors Don't like it, tough shite, they should have bought one. Hope no one steals it while you're asleep.

I think mine is loud but so is everyone else's as i can hear them around the neighborhood. I check the oil once a day in long hauls. U know it can do more but it doesn't hurt

I love the sound of generators, remind me of tailgating.

With that said, we have a 20kw Cummins and you can barely hear it unless your within10 feet. It powers 2 of the A/C units and the 5 fridges/freezers and that all I need it for.

Your neighbors won't care.

My generator is in between our houses and plan on running until midnight. Went over and asked if that would be a problem, since his bedroom window is right there, and he said not at all. Since he was so cool, I let him run an extension cord off my generator to run his fridge and tv. We’re in this power outage together and it goes a long way to be a great neighbor.

I change every 30-40 hours so every other day. It sat for years so I changed it after 24 hours today.

This wouldn't even be asked if it was during Laura. I was hot and humid as heck at that time. Being comfortable trumps any inconvenience of the neighbors hearing a loud noise. Survival wins every time.

Usually when power is out after a storm, wanting AC, this morning I would have liked a little heat. Was pretty chilly this AM.
