First full bottle of beer was a Lowenbrau. Paw-paw let me have one after a long day of fishing one summer. Probably eighth or ninth grade. He told me not to tell my mom or she'd kick his arse.

Yep. I was about 9 and splashing around in the water after a heavy rain around the rice bins while my dad was working on something. I fell into the pit that was full of water and my dad had to drag me out while I was doggie paddling trying to stay above water. He gave me a beer on the way home and I remember it tasting terrible but I drank the whole thing.

I don't remember where but it was Red Dog

My uncle used to keep beer in his garage fridge (Budweiser). I swiped one when I was 8 or 9 and took a few sips of it when I got home. It was warm and I remember hating it.

That first was was a white can. I think that might be why I still hate Miller

i recall my first beer well. It was a warm schlitz. my parents were very extremely conservative religious folks, and we didn't go to movies. The Billy Graham movie came to town in 1966, and every jr. high and high school student in Ouachita Parish had the opportunity to ride a school bus to the theater and see the movie during school hours.

since we didn't go to movies (someone could see me in the theater, and think that i, out of 900 kids in the place, was going to see "the good, the bad and the ugly" instead of Billy Graham) my parents let me take the day off.

So, a couple of us ended up at Fred Wilhite's house, where i drank my first beer at 12 years of age. I didn't destroy my family's public image by being seen in movie theaters until i turned 15 and started driving.
