I kind of agree with you, but I think this mindset is represented mostly in the ignorant and lower class. I think it exist in middle class and upper class, but to a much more smaller degree. I would say 10% or less.
I think people, black, white, and mexican are just tired of having race thrown around all damn day. The shite is tiring.

Not surprising to think that trash would follow trash. I guarantee you he has less then 5% support with upper and middle class blacks. He is also losing support with lower class blacks.

I think this is the answer here. But what could cause something to erupt is if certain elements start bleeding into suburbia and small towns. Like, if stories started to come out of elderly white men being beaten and mugged by a gang of black thugs in some small midwestern town, that would get people's attention. Right now the issues aren't at many people's doorstep they are happening in the inner city. If violent episodes start spilling into the suburbs and small towns then you will see something happen.

What if you don't consider inferior races to be human though? All you seem them as, is a problem?..I think that helps to ease any brutality fears.
Especially if it's you or them.
As far as cities go, at first they would hold strong. It would be a brave and admirable attempt, but eventually all would be pushed out or run over.

Watch any zombie movie set in an urban area. The intrepid heroes are better armed, smarter and superior in every way to the horde.
But the horde has numbers. And so, eventually, they are overrun.
Without overwhelming outside support the few will fall to the many, despite a valiant stand. That's been proven throughout history.

This isn't about white versus black per se. What it will boil down to is those "poor" who depend on the largesse of the rest of the population to survive. Once those services end, the decent folks will flee ahead of the impending doom.
