Dude there’s millions of females driving around that don’t even know what a lug nut is.

McDonald's Tire on Florida always does when done mounting, to correct specs with a torque wrench.

Maybe I'm just being a dick but I want to clarify this for others. The colored sockets/are just sockets with built on extensions. They are different colored to make it easier to identify the different sizes. They do not yield. The torque wrench that they are attached to yields.

So you are telling me torque sticks don't exist?

As to the OP I am a bit OCD about cars and retorque my wheel lugs after 100 miles or so. It also helps justify the cost of my torque wrench. I do have a car that only has 1 lug not per wheel so that makes correct torque on that nut pretty critical.

Public Service Announcement…
Does everyone here know how to properly store your torque wrench after use? You have to “back it down” to a setting of 1-5 lbs if you’re not going to be using it for any extended period or else you’ll completely ruin its calibration thus making it useless.
Ask me how I know.
Ripped the head off a bolt trying to get it to torque to 60 lbs after improperly storing one once. Not a fun day

I have seen the attendant torque the nuts, drive around the parking lot, and recheck all nuts.
I've been driving about 65 years, put over a hundred thousand miles on several automobiles, and have never had a loose nut yet.

I torque my lug nuts almost every day, so I’m covered.
