If I'm able to I will. Difficult to on a busy highway but I try to ask much as I can

But if feasible I pull over, I know what it's like to lose loved ones, all the consideration shown is appreciated. I don't understand the self-involved cretins who think they rule the planet

This! Funerals are for the living and respect is SO appreciated by anyone who has lost a loved one. It will matter when you are going to bury someone who meant SO much.

Pay it forward douches!!!

Yes. This reminds me of a time my father and I were traveling on a two lane road. He liked to pass and cuss all the slow drivers. We found ourselves in the middle of a funeral procession of another race. He did pull over with a funny look on his face.

I actually got pulled over one time for not doing it! In reality I wasn't paying attention! I would have pulled over so I'd say yes

I'm all for respect but parading your dead uncle down I-10 during the middle of rush hour is about as classy as the folks propping the dead guy up to a bar with a pack of busch and a marlboro red.

Surface streets: pull over
Interstate: unless the coffin has a flag on it they ought to keep it in the right lane

I'm confused, by pullover do you guys mean actually pulling on the shoulder and coming to a stop until the procession passes, or do you just mean getting in the other lane to let them pass?

By pull over I meant coming to a stop, more often when you are the opposite lane, and waiting for the processional to pass before resuming your way.

Only if you are present at their passing. Use your brain when making comparisons.

Always will. It's the least I can do is pull over and stop for 5 minutes of my life to show respect for someone who has lived out theirs.

I yeild and take off hat and such.

I DO NOT approve of shite such as the hearse with flashers on rolling through red lights and intersections.

I have lost loved ones recently and its worthy of respect but its not a presidential motorcade.

Here in Pensacola all traffic stops for any funeral, any time, any day no matter how long the funeral procession. Like it was when I grew up in Baton Rouge, they still do that here

frickstick. You think the family chooses the route? The police pick the route.

Coming in my lane yes. Opposite lane. NOPE

Same here. Being respectful and getting out their way is important. Pulling over when going opposite direction is like randomly saying a prayer for someone in the obits, it's a nice gesture but not necessary.

No. They get the sign of the cross, a salute, three winks and two hands to the man.
