in all seriousness, I play like 4 nights a week and I fricking love it
It's a super trashy sport though and no matter what part of the country you're in the players are all the same. Still love it though

Yeah, literally every game, after the last out of double header, i would see a few of our players and their players holding each other back and yelling shite.
I said frick this, i came out to drink, run the bases, and enjoy a night out with the boys.
Seriously, some of these 20ish year olds really think they are some god of the softball fields.
They play 4 games a night, then 6-8 on the weekends, all on different teams who need a ringer. It's laughable, you would beat a team earlier, and half of that team would be playing you in the next half of double header on a different team.
Also, the puss puss's, going up the middle on the pitcher is bush league. Had some dick who walked up 3 feet from home plate, nearly destroy my noggin, i felt it graze my hat. After he walked up, he was like 10 feet from me, aiming up the middle.
Majority of people i know who play outside of Illanoy/Missouri area, have fun leagues, where people play. Locally, it's all try harders.

That’s pretty much what happened to us yesterday. We are a group of guys and gals who are all pretty much early to mid to late 30s. We have a couple 50 year old baws. Got a couple prior college baws and 1 girl but most of us are just old and trying to have fun.
We ended up beating a couple teams stacked with some chads, complete with Nike leggings under their shorts, elbow sleeves, the whole 9. Anyway, these two Chad teams decided to join up and stack the frick out of one team and just started running through everyone else. We played, lost, said frick it, and I went to drink beer.

low level beer league type.
mostly bunch of guys just having fun and enjoying still being able to play ball.
yeah some knuckleheads acted like every night was game 7 of the world series, but for the most part it wasn’t that serious.
one night Jon Zeringue showed up for our opponent.
