ASMR is actually a physical response to sounds. The videos are supposed to trigger the response. But now it’s just synonymous with weird sounding videos with a thinly veiled sexual used woman making the sounds. So it’s been very construed as of late what ASMR actually is.
I get full on ASMR when I get my hair cut. The sound of clippers close to my ear does it.
It starts like a tickle in my side then like this weird wave of electricity tingles from the top of my head and it moves all the way down to my toes.
Always been like that.

I get ASMR from getting my hair cut as well. A channel that I will watch that relaxes me and puts me to sleep is bigstackd metal casting.
He doesn't speak at all in the videos, it's just the breaking down of materials and melting them in crucibles and then pouring them into forms. It's oddly relaxing and the snap crackle and pop of some of the metals being cast triggers an ASMR response.
