It’s not impossible I guess. Antibodies from any virus can eventually wear off.

I think a number I saw was 5 out of 5.2 million confirmed cases.

Something like that

I know multiple people who were sick twice. One still doesn’t have taste back 6 months later.
I know about 50+ that had it once, only a handful that were extremely sick. Others had minor effects.
I had it, but only experienced symptoms for one day.

It’s tricky virus to figure out. I really think it’s nothing more than a flu. Anyone with underlying conditions and/or weak immune systems isn’t going to do well with any virus. 70yr old + who gets pneumonia has a high chance of dying. I think the overly cautious young/healthy people are brainwashed by the media and clown doctors.

The real question is how many times he voted for the Democratic Presidential candidate?

This is bullshite because the first confirmed reinfection in the US was a month ago and there were only 5 confirmed worldwide.
ETA: that number has increased since then but it’s still incredibly rare.

Don’t know what to tell you dude. But I believe the fact that a person is asymptomatic or shows very little signs of it may skew those numbers.

If only our immune systems were that simple.

Is this the “yeah, never got tested but I’m pretty sure I had it back in May” guy

I’m not sure why you’re so certain about that. The doctor that tested me said people have gotten it twice. The antibodies only last about 3-4 months

I think there have been just a handful (maybe 2 handfuls at most) of confirmed repeat cases in the entire world since this started. The few i read about were not confirmed whether or not they had antibodies from first time as they weren’t tested. Developing antibodies isn’t ever going happen in 100% of those infected with any virus, and Wuhan tends to try and mute the lymphoid side while causing a hyperactive myeloid response including cytokines.

There is also chance of false positives playing a part in reinfections, and many tests through summer still had a cycle threshold of 40 that would also show positive for genetic fragments of virus and not just the live replicating virus. Most of these test results didn’t include number cycles to go back and check later like some did.

I think they are only comfortable with saying immunity last 90 days due to testing rolled out so quickly with so many companies including antibody tests (many antibody tests are just yes or no not quantitative) and still testing what is the proper response is to have immunity further down the road including with the slightly different strains of virus, but i think they will move it to at least 6 to 8 months unless virus starts mutating a lot more.

A kid on my son's high school football team just got it the 2nd time. Symptoms along with no taste and also positive tests from both times.

I read where if you get it once, your immunity only last for about 90 days.
