I’m an advocate of PEDs in sports. I wanna see 500 feet home runs every time. I want pitchers throwing 100 regularly. I want to see frickers flying in the stands in football from the hits. I want frickers dunking from the 3 point line, and I want horses breaking records at Kentucky Derby.

Most athletes are young, often gullible, and under intense pressure to perform. If dope was legal, their agents and trainers would be able to get them to take anything. They’d be worse guinea pigs than what some are now.

Honestly, that is so far from fact it isn't funny. Lance was all about one race a year, the tour. Eddie Merckx was a far better cyclist than him, when Eddie showed up everyone else raced for second. Eddie raced and won all the grand tours and all the major classics.
While you can argue (and I would tend to agree) Armstring was the greatest TdF rider but not even in the top 5 of the greatest cyclist and it is doubtful you will find hardly anyone who is a cycling fan who things Armstrong was greater than Eddie.
